The Peters Township Music Boosters (PTMB) was pleased to award One Thousand Dollar ($1,000.00) scholarships to six (6) senior members of the Class of 2022 at the Peters Township High School Senior Awards Ceremony on May 31, 2022.

Congratulations to the following seniors:

  • Colin Hoffmann
  • Alexis Kirch
  • Alexandra Milchovich
  • Brianna Ross
  • Bain Tedeschi

Tucker is a 5 year percussionist with the PTHS Marching Band, 1 year member of Concert Band, 3 year member of Jazz Band, and 2 year member of Wind Symphony.  Tucker will attend The Ohio State University to study Sports Management and Analytics.

Colin has played the Viola for 4 years with the PTHS Orchestra and is also a 1 year member of Concert Choir and 2 year member of Symphonic Choir.  Colin will attend The College of Wooster to study Music Education.

Alexis plays Clarinet and is a 5 year member and Drum Major of the PTHS Marching Band, 1 year member Concert Band and a 3 year member of Wind Symphony.  Alexis will attend The University of Tennessee to study Business

Alexandra has played the Mellophone for 4 years with the PTHS Marching Band and 1 year with the Concert Band.  Alex is also a 1 year member of the Concert Choir and 3 year member of the Symphonic Choir.  Alex will be attending Syracuse University to study Communications and Rhetorical Studies and Vocal Performance

Brianna is a 4 year member of the PTHS Marching Band, 3 year member of the Winter Guard and Color Guard Captain.  Brianna also plays the Violin and is a 4 year member of the PTHS Orchestra.  Brianna will be attending Penn State University to study Kinesiology.

Bain has played the Baritone as a 4 year member of the PTHS Marching Band.  He is also a 3 year member of the Concert Band, Jazz Band and Wind Symphony.  Bain will attend The University of Pittsburgh to study Engineering

Each applicant completed a scholarship application identifying his/her participation in the respective music department activities and ensembles and submitted an essay, choosing any three (3) of the following attributes that are components of the Character Counts initiative of the PTSD: Citizenship, Courage, Commitment, Compassion, Fairness, Honesty, Integrity, Kindness, Perseverance, Respect and Responsibility and describing how their involvement in the PTHS music department has aided in their development in those areas.

* Essays were blind-judged.  The PTMB did not participate in or choose the recipients of the award.  To be eligible for a Scholarship, the student’s family must be a current (21-22) member of the PTMB.
