SUMMARY:PMEA A Cappella Showcase
DESCRIPTION:Contemporary A Cappella Showcase\n\nPTHS is hosting the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association’s (PMEA) second Contemporary A Cappella Showcase on Saturday\, November 1\, 2025. \nThe showcase will feature large group ensembles led by Deke Sharon\, renowned as the “father of contemporary a cappella.” With a resume that includes producing the music for the “Pitch Perfect” films and the NBC show “The Sing-Off\,” Deke’s leadership will surely inspire all participants. \nIn addition to these ensembles\, the event will include performances by scholastic a cappella groups\, a professional headliner group\, and workshops led by a cappella professionals from three different states.  Rowdy Rhythm\, our full ensemble choir\, and Room 100\, our contemporary a cappella group\, will be performing with the large choir AND on their own during the evening concert. \n• Time: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Registration begins at 9:30 AM)\n• Location: PTHS\n• Evening Concert: 7:30 PM \nThis is going to be an incredibly exciting event\, bringing together over 20 schools from the Pittsburgh area for a day filled with music\, learning\, and collaboration. You’re not going to want to miss it!
