Calling all PT Seniors in an Ensemble or Marching Band!

The Peters Township Music Boosters (PTMB) is pleased to offer six (6) $1,000.00 scholarships to eligible PT Seniors!! 

In order to be eligible for a PTMB Scholarship you must: (1) be a Senior graduating in 2022; (2) have participated in a PTHS music class/ensemble (including marching band); AND (3) already be CURRENT members of the PTMB for the 2021-2022 school year. 

To Apply: Please print the Scholarship Application HERE and be sure to follow ALL of the directions. Applications and essays MUST be emailed to Mr. Perrotte (perrotter@pt-sd.org), no later than Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 2:30 pm in order to be eligible. Scholarship Application forms are also available on the website (ptmusicboosters.com), posted on the BAND App and available in the choir room and band room at the High School 

Scholarship recipients will be announced and awarded in June at the PTHS awards ceremony before Graduation. (date to be scheduled by administration). 

APPLICATION FORM

The directions are below and on the Application Form.  In addition to filling out the Scholarship Application all applicants MUST submit an Essay (see below). Applications will not be reviewed unless an Essay meeting the requirements outlined below is submitted.  (DO NOT WRITE YOUR NAME ON THE ESSAY!)

Essay topic: On a separate sheet of paper, write/type an essay of 500 words or less on the following:

Choose three of the following attributes that are components of the Character Counts initiative of the Peters Township School District: Citizenship, Courage, Commitment, Compassion, Fairness, Honesty, Integrity, Kindness, Perseverance, Respect, and Responsibility. Describe how your involvement in the PTHS music department has aided your development in these areas.

Deadlines:

EMAIL the Scholarship Application and Essay to Mr. Perrotte (perrotter@pt-sd.org), NO LATER THAN Wednesday, May 11, 2021, at 2:30 pm. Essays will be blind-judged by teachers/professionals.

Eligibility:

Approved PTMB scholarships will be awarded to students based upon participation in the respective PTHS music area(s) identified on the application and highest scores on the Essay. To be eligible for a Scholarship, the student’s family MUST currently be a 2021-2022 member in good standing with the Peters Township Music Boosters. Scholarship amounts and quantities are voted on and approved by the membership of the PTMB. The PTMB does NOT participate in or choose the recipients of the award.
