The Peters Township Music Boosters are pleased to award six $1,000 scholarships to the following senior members of the class of 2024.
Zennik Bublak
Caitlin Gallagher
Thomas Gallagher
Anthony Luisi
Carson Throckmorton
Ethan White
For this scholarship, each applicant completed an application that included their participation in various ensembles and an essay based on the prompt “Describe how you became involved in music, how your involvement in the music department has impacted your high school experience, and what role you hope music will play in your future.” We are so proud of these seniors for sharing their love of music!
Zennik Bublak
Zennik participated in the Marching Band for five years, where he was a section leader as a sophomore, woodwind captain as a junior, and drum major his senior year. He also played for one year in Concert Band, two years in Jazz Band, and two years in Wind Symphony. Zennik will attend the University of Georgia, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Jazz.
Caitlin Gallagher
Caitlin participated in Mixed Choir for one year, and both Chamber Choir and Room 100 for three years. She has also served as the Social Media Manager for Room 100. Caitlin will attend Miami University of Ohio and major in Nursing.
Thomas Gallagher
Thomas participated in the Marching Band for five years and served as the Low Brass Section leader his senior year. He also played in both Concert Band and Wind Symphony for one year and Jazz Band for two years. In addition, he was in the Chamber Choir for two years and Room 100 for one year. This year, he auditioned and was among a group of only 24 students selected state wide for the 2024 PMEA All-State Contemporary A Cappella Vocal Ensemble. Thomas will be attending The Ohio State University to major in Mechanical Engineering.
Anthony Luisi
Anthony participated Marching Band for 5 years and the Jazz Band for 2 years. He was also in both Chamber Choir and Room 100 for three years. This year, he auditioned and was among a group of only 24 students selected state wide for the 2024 PMEA All-State Contemporary A Cappella Vocal Ensemble. Anthony will be attending Wright State University to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting as well as minors in Theatre Design and Technology, and Business.
Carson Throckmorton
Carson participated in the Marching Band for 5 years, where he was the drumline captain in his junior and senior years. He also played in Orchestra for 2 years, Jazz Band for 4 years, and Wind Symphony for 2 years. This year, he earned a seat in the PMEA District and Regional Orchestras as well as the PMEA Honors, District, and Regional Bands. Carson will be attending Kent State, where he will be majoring in Physics, and plans to participate in music ensembles.
Ethan White
Ethan participated in the Marching Band for 5 years, where he was a section leader for 2 years and a soloist his senior year. He also participated in Concert Band for 4 years, Jazz Band for 2 years, Wind Symphony for 3 years, and Room 100 for 1 year. Ethan will major in Music Education at The Ohio State University.
