Attention all Students entering 8th to 12th grade for the fall of 2023:
The Peters Township Marching Band invites students to join for the 2023-2024 season! We are seeking instrumentalists (grades 8-12), color guard (grades 9-12), and student managers. If you are not a current member of the marching band and are interested in learning more, we would love to talk with you. Head to any music ensemble classroom at PTHS or the Band Room at PTMS. A QR code will be available for you to scan, displaying a Marching Band Interest Form to complete. We will follow up with any new students interested in learning more.
Know that you want to learn more? Come to our Informational Meeting on Thursday, March 9, from 6:00 to 6:30 pm in the LGI at PTHS.
Some past experiences the marching band has had include trips to Chicago, Orlando, and Washington, D.C. In December of 2022, we had the opportunity to perform as part of the National Semi-finals Peach Bowl in Atlanta; and we plan to be part of the Memorial Day/ 80th anniversary of the V-Day parade in Washington, D.C., in May of 2024. We are also marching in the Pittsburgh St. Patrick’s Day parade this year and performing at a Washington Wild Things baseball game in June.
